New GGBC Customer Portal, “FBS Portal”

Dear GGBC users,

On Saturday, December 2nd, we will be replacing the current ordering and billing system (GeneSifter) with a new customer portal “FBS Portal” for Ordering, Scheduling, Invoice Management, and Utilization Reporting.

Please be advised of the following changes:

  • FBS Portal: All ordering buttons on the GGBC website will point to the FBS Portal as of Saturday, December 2nd.

  • UGA members: You will be able to logon to the FBS Portal using your MyID. All your lab and account information are in the Portal.

  • Non-UGA members: All personal and affiliation information have been imported to the FBS Portal, and we will send email invitations from UGA@FBS.io asking you to set up your login credentials (username and password).

  • Submitted Orders: Although the Genesifter system will not accept any new orders as of December 2nd, we will continue to use it to complete the submitted orders.

  • GeneSifter Archive: You will have access to “GeneSifter Archive” for few months in case you need to download or archive your previous orders and invoices. There will be a new button pointing to “GeneSifter Archive” on the GGBC website.

There is a current opening for a “Laboratory Manager I” position at GGBC. Click here for more information.

Current Position Opening at GGBC

The Georgia Genomics and Bioinformatics Core, the University of Georgia’s core laboratory for nucleic acid sequencing and bioinformatics, invites applications for a Laboratory Manager I.  The primary duties will be associated with DNA sequencing services (Capillary, Illumina, and PacBio Sequel in struments) as well as general lab duties.
