Current Position Opening at GGF

The Georgia Genomics Facility, a Sequencing and Genotyping Core Laboratory of the University of Georgia, invites applications for a Research Technician III.  The primary duties will be associated with DNA sequencing services as well as general lab maintenance.  Bachelor’s degree with one year lab experience or equivalent combination required.

GGF Internships

The primary duties of the GGF Intern will be related to laboratory maintenance including washing dishes and cleaning. Other duties include data entry, DNA quantification, helping with the capillary sequencing service, and managing the front desk (answering the phone, greeting customers). This is an unpaid position.

Qualifications: Related laboratory experience preferred, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in an interactive team environment required, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Duration: Minimum 4 months commitment
Start Date: SUMMER 2017 semester
Approximate Hours per Week: 4-12 h per week (afternoons preferred)
